The Lancaster Museum of Art and History is seeking passionate individuals to participate in its Wiki Night series—a monthly opportunity for creative individuals to come together in an informal atmosphere to share their ideas, projects and thoughts. The museum is soliciting the creative community for presentations to help build a dynamic network of innovative concepts in the Antelope Valley. Each Wiki Night event features several presenters who utilize the Pecha Kucha format, which is designed to keep presentations short, fun, and passionate with a conversational vibe. Interested presenters for Wiki Nights are invited to email their presentation title, a short description of their topic, and three jpeg images to the museum at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for consideration at an event. The remaining summer Wiki Nights are July 21 and August 18. The deadline for submitting ideas for the July Wiki Night session is July 8, 2011. Ideas will continue to be accepted for future events after the July deadline.
The Wiki Night series of social networking events occurs the third Thursday of each month, and provides opportunities to interact with creative thinkers and a wider public audience through the exploration of the presenters’ current research topics, ideas, interests, or work process. One of the primary objectives of this new monthly series is to expand into a community forum for the collection and collaborative documentation of creative ideas in the Antelope Valley. The Wiki Night events will also incorporate an interactive voting activity which seeks input from the community to help in “Building a New Museum.”
The events are free and open to the public. For additional information on the museum’s programming,
